He has acted on some of the largest civil fraud claims in Ontario and has extensive experience managing complex litigation involving large volumes of documentary disclosure and multiple parties. David takes a long range, strategic approach to litigation, and has a proven track record of obtaining results for his clients.

David has successfully defended clients at trial in claims involving tens of millions of dollars in dispute. He has successfully brought complex claims to trial, and has successfully defended clients in class action litigation. David appears regularly before the Superior Court and Court of Appeal for Ontario. Cameron’s areas of practice include complex commercial litigation, debt recovery, insurance related matters, and civil fraud. He regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Cameron’s work involves the representation of institutional clients and individuals. He has successfully prosecuted civil fraud claims at trial and has won several appeals before the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. In a multi-million dollar debt collection fraud case, Cameron won two major contempt decisions against a defendant who was evading judgment as well as debtor-creditor examinations.

Cameron is a traditional barrister who believes that trial experience is essential for civil litigators. He is also a forceful and tactical negotiator when the circumstances dictate. Cameron has successfully settled dozens of cases over the years in addition to taking claims to trial and to appellate courts.

Caroline has extensive experience drafting pleadings and is especially meticulous when conducting research and reviewing file documentation. With over a decade of experience leading complex files as an executive, lawyer, and policy advisor, Carl has a solid understanding of how our institutions identify challenges and opportunities, make decisions, manage litigation, and resolve disputes.

Carl brings strategic planning and crisis management skills to his general litigation practice with an emphasis on governance, contractual, and regulatory matters. He has also advised on investment, corporate, competition, telecom, and administrative law, and on the protection of human rights under our constitution and laws.

Carl joined the firm from a leading international law firm where, as Counsel, he advised Canadian and global businesses on strategic legal and compliance matters, including ethical business practices in an evolving regulatory environment.

Carl previously served as the Judicial Affairs Advisor to the federal government. He also worked as a strategic advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada and in senior legal and economic policy roles in the departments of Justice, Industry, and Citizenship and Immigration.

Carl has a strong interest in economic immigration policy, having advised on reforms to Canada’s skilled worker selection system. He has been consulted by and invited to speak on the public policy process to universities, professional services firms, businesses, international institutions, industry associations, and community groups.
